BIO
Based in Orillia, Ontario, I have enjoyed providing marketing communications services to a wide variety of clients for over 20 years, following a successful career in the management and promotion of recreation and leisure services. I have focused much of my work in the fields of public and social service, recreation and culture, education, and tourism. I have contributed to a number of award-winning campaigns and projects that have helped to raise public awareness for organizations such as Parks and Recreation Ontario, Lakehead University, Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, and the City of Orillia.
From 2010 to 2017, I worked with Lakehead University, where I was responsible for planning the grand opening of the Orillia campus and directing the marketing communications activities for the new campus. I worked with students, faculty, staff and the community to position the campus as one of Canada's leading comprehensive university campuses.
I am committed to lifelong learning and have completed studies in Public Relations (Ryerson University), Canadian Marketing Management (University of Toronto), and Recreation and Leisure Studies (Fanshawe College), in addition to specialized training courses – including digital marketing and social media – from some of Canada’s leading training institutions.
Community Involvement
I love living and working in the heart of Ontario’s Lake Country and am committed to contributing to the quality of life offered within the Orillia area. I am currently a member of the Couchiching Conservancy Board of Directors; a volunteer with the Ontario Winter Games; and active supporter of local arts and festival organizations.
